My honest answer: I don&#8217;t know how to manage five small kids without writing! It&#8217;s definitely my escape. Since I started writing in the fall of 2010, my goal has always been to write 1,000 words every week day at minimum. I&#8217;m not sure if the actual word count is as important as consistency. I think binge writing works for some, but for me, writing is not like riding a bicycle.
