Hi Friends!

Writing: This week I’ve been working on Heidel’s story, a spin-off of Fairy World MD. I wrote the first draft in a flurry, finished it fast, so that when I re-read the story, it needed lots of TLC. I’ve found I’m cutting pages at a time to write brand new scenes.eiffel6

One problem I had was with the setting. It takes place in Paris, but when I wrote the first draft, I included the Eiffel Tower and the catacombs beneath Paris and that was it. Nothing else about the city existed because I’d rushed through without doing my research. In the second draft, I researched a swanky hotel called Shangri-La, a place I could never afford in this lifetime, but it was still fun to write about it. I also researched Parisian cuisine, and now I’m dying to take a flight out to Paris.shangri-la-hotel-paris-3

Reading: I finished Shannon A. Thompson’s Minutes Before Midnight. I absolutely fell in love with this book. The story never dragged or felt dull, and I found myself wanting to know what happens next. I’ve already started on book two. MBS

Gaming: I have to admit, I’m really a boring person. I usually sit at my computer and type, and I’m sure my kids think I’m no fun. HoweveMunchkinr, last night the kids pulled out Munchkin and I played with them. I didn’t understand the game, as the kids wanted to rush through without bothering to tell me how to play, but that being said, I seriously enjoyed the game’s humorous take on a rpg. The “Cotion of Ponfusion,” “Rat-on-a-stick,” and other clever names made me laugh. I lost horribly, no surprise there, but still had a good time.

**Don’t forget!** Book 3 of the Fairy world MD series releases in ebook format on April 25th. Have you pre-ordered your copy while it’s still on sale? If not, this is the link to my Amazon Author Page where you can view all my books.

Live long and DREAM on!
